Why the prints are ranked

A dollar figure alone does not say whether a print matters. $50 million is routine in SPY and can be the print of the year in a mid-cap. Tradytics ranks every block against the same stock's last 12 months, separately for off-exchange trades and the opening and closing auctions, so rank answers the question directly: is this big for this stock? The same prints build the dark pool levels, the prices where the dollars piled up, which show as a volume profile on the research page and as levels on the chart. More in ranked dark pool prints and what dark pool levels are.

How it joins the other datasets

Every dataset on the key uses the same symbols and New York sessions, so a top-ranked print lines up against everything else in that name:

The backtester reads the same dark pool prints since October 2024 when you test a rule in plain words.

From Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

The Tradytics MCP server at https://tradytics.com/mcp gives agents dark pool prints and levels as tools among its 15, so you can ask "Where are MSFT's biggest dark pool levels?" and the assistant reads them itself. Connect it once with your Tradytics account; it uses your Pro limits. More in the Tradytics API and MCP server.

Common questions

Is there a dark pool data API?

Yes. The Tradytics dark pool API returns every dark pool block print in US stocks and ETFs, ranked against each stock's last 12 months, plus dark pool levels and daily totals, in Pro for $69 a month with 50,000 calls a day.

How much dark pool history does the API have?

24.4 million prints and 6.5 million blocks over 507 sessions since October 28, 2024, across 14,147 tickers. GET /darkpool/history returns one symbol's prints over any date range in that span.

Can I get dark pool levels from the API?

Yes. GET /symbols/{symbol}/darkpool returns the prices where the most dark pool money traded, with dollars and print counts, and 30 sessions of daily dark pool and exchange block totals with the close.

Can ChatGPT or Claude read dark pool data?

Yes, through the Tradytics MCP server at https://tradytics.com/mcp. Its dark pool tools return prints and levels to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other agents on the same Pro plan.
