How Tradytics AI trade ideas work

By Faizan Ahmad. Updated .

Tradytics AI trade ideas (Ideas in the menu) are options trades from the Tradytics AI desk. Each one comes with the exact legs, a plain-words reason, a payoff chart and a price chart, and is then tracked until it closes, so every idea keeps its full record. Pro members see ideas as they open; Free and Live see them the next day. Use them as worked examples of turning flow and levels into a trade with a defined risk, and check the evidence before you copy anything.

What does a trade idea show?

Open Ideas in the left menu. Tabs at the top switch between All, Open and Closed ideas, and each idea has the same parts.

PartWhat it tells you
HeaderThe ticker, the strategy (for example Call debit spread or Long call), the tracked return, the timeframe, the expiration and the date posted
TitleThe trade and its reason in one line
ReasonWhy the desk likes it, in plain words, including what could go wrong
Payoff cardMax profit, breakeven, max loss and chance of profit, the payoff line, and each leg with its price

How do you read one idea? The VST call spread

The idea at the top of the screenshot was posted on October 30, 2026: "VST December 140/155 call spread: buyers defend support." Read it in this order.

  1. The legs. Buy the December 18 $140 call at $9.91 and sell the December 18 $155 call at $4.85. That's a call debit spread costing $5.06 a share, or $506 per spread.
  2. The risk. Max loss is the $506 you pay. Max profit is the $15 gap between the strikes minus the cost: $9.94 a share, or $994. Breakeven at expiry is $140 plus $5.06, or $145.06, with VST at $139.15 when the chart was drawn.
  3. The reason. The desk points to $1.10M of bid-side trading in VST's November $140 puts across two sessions (traders selling puts, which leans bullish), shares back above the day's average price, and a spread to cut the cost ahead of November 6 earnings.
  4. What could go wrong. The idea says it plainly: the broader trend is weak, and an earnings gap could lose the full debit.

The numbers check out against the standard bull call spread formulas (see Sources). To see the payoff before expiry and the P&L by date, rebuild the same two legs in the options strategy builder; how to use the Tradytics options strategy builder shows how. If "bid-side trading" is new to you, read what "at the ask" and "at the bid" mean in options flow.

How are ideas tracked?

Every idea is tracked from the day it's posted until it closes, and it keeps its full record. Open ideas show their return as it stands, up or down (both open ideas in the screenshot were down when it was taken), and closed ideas move to the Closed tab with their record. That makes the page something you can check, not a highlight reel.

Seeing an idea a day late still shows you the reasoning, the payoff and the record. The entry prices may have moved by then, so recheck them on the live chain before you act.

A routine for using trade ideas

  1. Open Ideas and switch to Open.
  2. Read the title and the reason, and name the evidence it rests on: flow, a level, earnings.
  3. Read max loss before max profit. If you can't afford to lose it at your size, the idea isn't for you.
  4. Check the evidence yourself on the ticker's research options and dark pool pages, or ask the AI analyst about anything you don't follow.
  5. If you take it, place the order at your broker; Tradytics' broker link is read only. Then follow the idea to its close and compare your result with its record.

An idea built around earnings carries one more risk: implied volatility usually drops after the report, which can shrink option prices even when the stock moves your way. What is IV crush? explains it.

Common questions

Are Tradytics trade ideas free?

Yes, on the Free plan you see each idea the next day. Live also sees them the next day; Pro sees them as they open.

Who makes the trade ideas?

The Tradytics AI desk. Each idea is explained in plain words with its charts, so you can follow the reasoning rather than take it on faith.

Does Tradytics show losing ideas?

Yes. Every idea is tracked until it closes and keeps its full record, and open ideas show their return whether it's up or down.

Can I place a trade from Tradytics?

No. Tradytics' broker link is read only, so you place trades at your broker.

What kinds of trades are the ideas?

Options trades, such as call debit spreads and long calls, each with a stated timeframe and expiration.
