Tradytics vs FlowAlgo
By Faizan Ahmad. Updated .
FlowAlgo is not available right now: it took its service offline on October 30, 2026, canceled all subscriptions with prorated refunds, keeps existing data viewable for free until November 13, 2026, and aims to relaunch in Q1 2027. So for a former FlowAlgo user the real choice is between waiting for the relaunch and moving now. Tradytics Live ($39 a month) has live options flow from every US options exchange with sweeps, blocks and splits marked, dark pool prints within about 15 minutes, dealer gamma and an AI analyst, and its Free plan lets you try every page on yesterday's session first. Prices are as of October 2026.
What happened to FlowAlgo?
FlowAlgo's own announcement says new data stopped on October 30, 2026 and the platform went offline. The reason given: Cboe is discontinuing a product at the core of FlowAlgo's data processing, and FlowAlgo isn't ready to stand behind the data from its replacement pipeline yet. All subscriptions and trials were canceled that day with prorated refunds, new sign-ups are paused, and the team promises an "all-new FlowAlgo" plus a separate product called FlowAlgo Human for Q1 2027. Prices for the new platform will be announced before launch. The full story is in what happened to FlowAlgo.

Where FlowAlgo wins
- It started this. FlowAlgo was one of the first retail options flow services and coined the "Golden Sweep" label.
- Curation. FlowAlgo showed filtered, curated flow rather than a raw tape, so you didn't have to sort through every print yourself.
- How it handled the pause. Prorated refunds and two weeks of free access to existing data is a fair way to pause a service.
- Something new is coming. If FlowAlgo's curation was the reason you subscribed, waiting for the Q1 2027 relaunch, and for whatever FlowAlgo Human turns out to be, is a reasonable choice.
Where Tradytics wins
- It is running today. Live options flow to the second on Live and Pro, from OPRA, the consolidated tape of every US options exchange.
- Price and a free plan. Live is $39 a month or $299 a year. Free shows every page and tool on yesterday's session with no card, so you can learn the screens before paying.
- More than flow. Dark pool prints and levels, dealer gamma by strike, research on every US stock and ETF, a 120-signal scanner, live charts, an options strategy builder, and a read-only link to your own broker account, in one app.
- An AI analyst that reads the trade. Ask about a ticker and it pulls the flow, dark pool prints, gamma and research itself, shows its steps, and tells you what a big trade likely is: a hedge, a spread or a fresh bet. It explains a trade instead of only flagging it. See what you can ask the AI analyst.
- API and MCP. Pro ($69 a month) includes a JSON API and an MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, at 50,000 calls a day.
How to find FlowAlgo-style sweeps and blocks on Tradytics
The live options flow page lists large prints with time, symbol, expiry, strike, call or put, premium, side, size, open interest, Vol/OI, type and tags. Three columns do most of what FlowAlgo's labels did:
- Type. Sweep (one order filled across several exchanges at once), Block (Tradytics marks any single trade of 5,000 or more contracts as a block), Split (a large order filled in pieces on one exchange) or Single. The differences are laid out in sweep vs block vs split.
- Side. Above ask, At ask and To ask mean the buyer paid up; At bid, To bid and Below bid mean the seller hit the bid; Mid has no clear lean.
- Tags. Opening means the size is bigger than the contract's open interest, so it is most likely a new position. Spread and Complex mark multi-leg trades.
Two real prints from October 30, 2026 show how it reads. At 11:55 AM ET, 52,800 NVDA January 15, 2027 $180 calls traded in one print for $172.81M, so the page typed it Block. At 3:18 PM ET, 5,350 Citigroup (C) December 18 $75 calls traded against open interest of 2,675, bought at the ask, for $24.82M: size above open interest, paid up, so a likely new bullish position. If you used FlowAlgo's Golden Sweeps, the closest read is a print typed Sweep with an At ask or Above ask side and a large premium; what a golden sweep is explains the idea.

How fast were FlowAlgo's dark pool prints, and how fast are Tradytics'?
FlowAlgo's own homepage said its equity block and print data was delayed up to 20 minutes; Tradytics shows dark pool prints within about 15 minutes of their report. Neither claims real time, and for dark pools that matters less than it sounds, because the prints are read for levels, which Tradytics builds from 10 sessions of prints. Who should choose which
- Wait for FlowAlgo if its curated feed was the whole reason you subscribed, you don't need flow in the meantime, and you want to see what the all-new FlowAlgo and FlowAlgo Human look like and cost.
- Choose Tradytics if you trade now and need live flow with sweeps and blocks marked, dark pool levels and gamma in one place for $39 a month, or an AI analyst that explains a trade instead of only flagging it.
- Do both. Use Tradytics Free or Live now and look at FlowAlgo again when it relaunches. For a wider field, see the best FlowAlgo alternatives.
