The best FlowAlgo alternatives
By Faizan Ahmad. Updated .
FlowAlgo went offline on October 30, 2026 and promises a relaunch in Q1 2027, so its members need a replacement now. The best FlowAlgo alternatives are Unusual Whales for the broadest terminal (from $50 a month, with a free tier), Cheddar Flow for a focused flow feed with a 7-day trial ($85 a month), Quant Data for dealer exposure ($74.99 a month), and Tradytics for live flow, dark pool prints, gamma and an AI analyst in one app at $39 a month, with a Free plan to test first. InsiderFinance and BullFlow are the cheapest on yearly billing. Prices are as of October 2026.
What FlowAlgo users need from a replacement
FlowAlgo launched in 2017 and was one of the first retail flow services. Members came for curated flow rather than a raw tape: sweeps, blocks, dark pool prints and the "Golden Sweep", a term FlowAlgo coined (our guide explains what a golden sweep is). It ran in the browser, and its old homepage said dark pool and block data was delayed up to 20 minutes. So a good replacement should do three things:
- Cut the full tape down to large, aggressive trades without hiding the details.
- Show each print's side (bought at the ask or sold at the bid), so you can tell a buyer from a seller.
- Show dark pool prints and the price levels where they cluster.
For the full story of the shutdown, refunds and data access until November 13, 2026, see what happened to FlowAlgo.
Why the side of a trade matters more than the label
A curated feed did some reading for you. Without it, the most important field is the side. On October 30, 2026 at 1:04 PM ET, 1,621 Seagate (STX) November 20 $655 puts traded against open interest of just 70, for $8.71M, sold at the bid. A quick glance says "big put trade, bearish". The side says otherwise: someone sold those puts, collecting premium in exchange for the obligation to buy the stock at $655 if assigned, which leans bullish. Volume 23 times the open interest says it was most likely a new position. Any replacement you pick should make that side visible on every row. Our guide on opening vs closing trades covers the open interest check.
The best FlowAlgo alternatives
Unusual Whales: the broadest terminal
Real-time flow from $50 a month (Retail Basic), with Retail Pro at $75 and Retail Max at $120. It adds a GEX heatmap for every US ticker, dark pool prints (which it says are real time), Congress trades, the Mr. Whale AI analyst, iOS and Android apps, push alerts and an API from $99 a month with MCP. The free tier shows the full dashboard with flow 2 trading days late. There is no dashboard trial, and all sales are final. Best for: former members who want as much data as possible and a free way to learn it.
Cheddar Flow: a focused feed with AI alerts
Cheddar is built around the order flow: sweeps, blocks, unusual activity and AI-scanned alerts, which is close in spirit to a curated feed. Standard is $85 a month with a 7-day free trial; Pro adds dark pool prints and gamma levels at $99 a month, or $75 a month billed yearly. Payments are non-refundable. Best for: members who liked a focused screen over a full terminal.
Tradytics: flow, dark pools and an AI analyst for $39
Tradytics is one web app with live options flow (OPRA, live to the second), dark pool prints, dealer gamma, research on every US stock and ETF, a 120-signal scanner, charts, an options strategy builder, portfolio tools and an AI analyst. Live is $39 a month or $299 a year; Pro is $69 a month or $499 a year and adds unlimited AI questions, AI trade ideas as they open, and an API with an MCP server. The Free plan shows every page on yesterday's session, with no card, which is a low-risk way to test it while FlowAlgo is away.
For FlowAlgo's two core views: the flow page shows every large print with its side (Above ask through Below bid), type (Sweep, Block, Split, Single) and an Opening tag when size beats open interest, and the AI analyst says whether a big print looks like a hedge, a spread or a fresh bet. The dark pool page lists every off-exchange print and every exchange block of 25,000 or more shares and $250K or more, about 12,000 prints a session. Prints show within about 15 minutes of their report, a similar window to FlowAlgo's old "up to 20 minutes", and levels are built from 10 sessions of prints.

Skip it if: you need a native phone app. Full comparison: Tradytics vs FlowAlgo.
Quant Data: for dealer exposure
One plan at $74.99 a month, or $62.50 a month billed yearly, with a 7-day trial. It includes real-time flow (consolidated and trade by trade), dark pool prints, gamma, delta, vanna and charm exposure, an API with native MCP support, iOS and Android apps and a Discord with more than 15,000 members. Best for: members who want dealer levels alongside flow.
InsiderFinance and BullFlow: the budget picks
InsiderFinance sells one plan with flow, dark pool prints, gamma exposure, AI flow analysis and courses at $75 a month, or $55 a month billed yearly ($660). BullFlow Basic is $396 a year for real-time flow, gamma levels and AI alerts; Premium, at $708 a year, adds dark pool prints and gamma updates every 5 seconds. Both say their dark pool prints are real time. Best for: members who want a low yearly bill and AI alerts.
Or wait for FlowAlgo
FlowAlgo promises an all-new platform in Q1 2027, plus a new product called FlowAlgo Human. Pricing will be announced before launch, and sign-ups and trials are paused until then. If you liked FlowAlgo, a free option in the meantime (Unusual Whales' free tier or Tradytics Free) keeps you watching flow without a new commitment.

Common questions
What is the best replacement for FlowAlgo?
It depends on what you used it for. Unusual Whales covers the most ground, Cheddar Flow is the closest to a focused feed, Quant Data leads on dealer exposure, and Tradytics puts flow, dark pools, gamma and an AI analyst in one app for $39 a month.
Is there a free FlowAlgo alternative?
Unusual Whales' free tier (flow 2 trading days late) and Tradytics Free (every page on yesterday's session, no card) are the two most complete. Neither shows today's flow for free.
Does any alternative have Golden Sweeps?
The label is FlowAlgo's own. On other tools, look for large sweeps bought at or above the ask; our golden sweep guide explains the idea.
Should I wait for FlowAlgo to come back?
FlowAlgo targets Q1 2027 with no exact date or price yet. A free plan elsewhere lets you keep watching flow while you wait.
Will FlowAlgo refund my subscription?
