The best Cheddar Flow alternatives
By Faizan Ahmad. Updated .
The best Cheddar Flow alternatives are Unusual Whales if you want more for less (live flow from $50 a month, a free tier, GEX, dark pool prints and phone apps), Quant Data for deeper dealer exposure at $74.99 a month with a 7-day trial, and Tradytics if you want live flow, dark pool prints, gamma and an AI analyst in one app for $39 a month, or free on yesterday's session. InsiderFinance ($55 a month billed yearly) and BullFlow ($396 a year) are the low-price picks. Cheddar Flow itself costs $85 to $99 a month, as of October 2026.
Why people look for Cheddar Flow alternatives
Cheddar Flow has a clean, focused flow screen, and people who like it usually like that. The reasons they shop around are mostly about price and terms:
- Price for the full kit. Standard ($85 a month) is flow only. Dark pool prints and gamma levels need Pro at $99 a month, or $75 a month billed yearly.
- No free plan, a narrow trial. The 7-day trial covers Standard only, so you can't test dark pool or gamma before paying.
- No refunds. Payments are non-refundable and not prorated.
- No API or chat AI. Cheddar doesn't list an API or MCP server, and its AI sends scanned alerts rather than answering questions.
What to look for in a replacement
Whatever you pick, check how it handles multi-leg trades, because the headline premium on a flow row can overstate the bet. On October 30, 2026 at 1:03 PM ET, 4,481 Meta (META) February 19, 2027 $730 calls traded for $10.59M, bought at the ask, against open interest of only 793. In the same minute, 4,481 of the $780 calls traded for $6.60M. Same size, same minute, same expiry: the signature of one call spread. If the $780s were sold against the $730s, the buyer's net cost was about $3.99M, not $10.59M, and the profit stops growing once META passes $780. A tool that labels spreads, or an analyst that reads them, saves you from that mistake. Our guide to reading spreads in the flow shows the patterns.
The best Cheddar Flow alternatives
Unusual Whales: more for less
Real-time flow starts at $50 a month on Retail Basic, with Retail Pro at $75 and Retail Max at $120. It adds a GEX heatmap for every US ticker, dark pool prints (which it says are real time), Congress trades, prediction markets, the Mr. Whale AI analyst, iOS and Android apps, push alerts and an API from $99 a month with MCP. The free tier shows the whole dashboard with flow 2 trading days late. There is no dashboard trial and all sales are final. Best for: traders who want the broadest terminal for the money. See Unusual Whales vs Cheddar Flow.
Quant Data: deeper exposure, full trial
One plan at $74.99 a month, or $62.50 a month billed yearly, includes real-time flow, dark pool prints, gamma, delta, vanna and charm exposure with a heat map of more than 30 metrics, an API with native MCP support, iOS and Android apps and a futures add-on. The 7-day trial covers everything. Best for: traders who use gamma levels and want them tested before paying. See Cheddar Flow vs Quant Data.
Tradytics: one app with an AI analyst for $39
Tradytics is a web app with live options flow (OPRA, live to the second), dark pool prints, dealer gamma, research on every US stock and ETF, a 120-signal scanner, charts, an options strategy builder, broker-linked portfolio tracking and an AI analyst that pulls the data itself. Live is $39 a month or $299 a year, with 20 AI questions a day. Pro is $69 a month or $499 a year, with unlimited AI questions, AI trade ideas as they open, and an API (50,000 calls a day) with an MCP server. The Free plan shows every page on yesterday's session, with no card, so you can test dark pool and gamma tools before paying, which Cheddar's trial doesn't allow.
The flow page shows each print's side (Above ask down to Below bid), type (Sweep, Block, Split, Single) and tags, including Spread and Complex for multi-leg trades, so pairs like the META calls above stand out.

Skip it if: you want a native phone app, or real-time dark pool prints. Tradytics shows prints within about 15 minutes of their report, with levels built from 10 sessions of prints. Full comparison: Tradytics vs Cheddar Flow.
InsiderFinance: one plan, lower yearly price

It covers real-time flow, dark pool prints (which it says are real time), gamma exposure, AI flow analysis, iOS and Android apps, Discord and trading courses. A free page shows the 15 most recent trades, 30 minutes late. Best for: traders who want dark pool and gamma at a lower yearly price than Cheddar Pro, plus education.
BullFlow: low yearly prices with AI alerts
Basic is $396 a year ($33 a month billed yearly) for real-time flow, gamma levels and AI trade alerts. Premium, at $708 a year, adds dark pool prints (which it says are real time), gamma updates every 5 seconds and AI agent analysis. The Data API plan, at $1,188 a year, adds API and MCP access for personal use. Best for: price-first traders who pay yearly.
Optionomics: a public track record
Optionomics' live flow and dark pool research start on its Gamma plan at $59 a month ($566 a year), with an AI research assistant from Theta ($79) and API and MCP on Vega ($99). It publishes a public track record of its trade ideas and offers free tools with no account. Best for: traders who want ideas with a visible record.
