How to use the Tradytics Flow board
By Faizan Ahmad. Updated .
The Tradytics Flow board (/options/flow-board) puts up to 12 live net options flow charts side by side, one per stock or ETF, so you can watch where the money is leaning across a watchlist at once instead of opening one research page at a time. Each chart draws calls and puts net premium through the session against the stock's price, has its own expiry filter, and refreshes every 30 seconds. The board is saved to your account, so it opens the same way on any device.
What does the Flow board show?
Each card is the same net flow chart you see on a stock's research options page, without an indicator under it, so a full board stays easy to scan.
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Net flow chart | Net premium in calls and in puts through the session, with the stock's price on the same chart |
| Expiry filter | All expiries, or only those within 7, 15 or 30 days, set per card |
| Title | The ticker; click it to open that stock's research options page |
| Remove | Takes the card off the board |
| Columns | 1, 2, 3 or 4 columns on a wide screen; one column on a phone |
| Add stock | Search any ticker and add it, up to 12 charts |
The same name can sit on the board twice with different filters, for example NVDA across all expiries next to NVDA within 7 days, which separates short-dated speculation from longer positioning.
How do you set up a Flow board?
- Go to /options/flow-board while signed in.
- Click Add stock and pick a ticker. Repeat for up to 12.
- On each card, set the expiry filter if you only care about near-dated flow.
- Pick 1 to 4 columns. Fewer columns give taller charts; four fit all 12 on a large screen.
- Leave it open. Every chart refreshes every 30 seconds; the board is saved to your account as you change it.
If you built a board on the earlier Tradytics site's Flowline, it opens here as you left it.
How do you read a board of net flow charts?
- Look for the outlier. When most of a sector's charts lean one way and one name leans the other, that name is the one to open.
- Compare timing. Flow that builds before the price moves is more interesting than flow that chases a move. Side by side, you can see which names led.
- Check the scale. Each chart has its own axis, so a steep line in a small stock can be fewer dollars than a flat-looking one in SPY. Read the numbers before comparing slopes.
- Split by expiry. A lean that only shows up within 7 days is short-dated speculation; one that holds across all expiries is broader.
- Then open the prints. Click the ticker to see the orders behind the line on its research page, or filter the live options flow for that name.
